Snap Trading AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Snap Trading AI mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Anonymous Device Identifier
On first launch, we generate a random anonymous device identifier that is stored securely on your device. This identifier is NOT linked to your real-world identity (no name, email, phone number, or address required). We use it to:
- Track your subscription status and credit balance
- Apply usage limits and free trial entitlements
- Maintain your settings across app sessions
1.2 Device Fingerprint (Anti-Abuse Protection)
To prevent abuse of our free trial (such as users uninstalling and reinstalling the app to obtain repeated free trials), we record a one-way hashed fingerprint based on:
- Your IP address at the time of installation
- Your device User-Agent string (browser/OS metadata)
- Platform identifier (iOS or Android)
This data is used solely for fraud prevention. It is NOT used for advertising, tracking across other apps, or sold to third parties. If the same device fingerprint is detected after a reinstall, the original trial period is enforced.
1.3 Chart Images and User Content
Photos of charts that you explicitly upload for AI analysis are processed by AI services (such as OpenAI and Anthropic). Images may be temporarily stored to provide your history within the app. You can delete them at any time.
1.4 Purchase Receipts
When you purchase a subscription or consumable pack, the App Store (Apple) or Play Store (Google) sends us a transaction receipt. We verify this receipt to grant your entitlements (premium features, credits). We do NOT store your credit card number, bank account, or payment method — Apple and Google process all payments securely on their platforms.
1.5 Anonymous Usage Analytics
We collect aggregated usage statistics (e.g., number of analyses performed, features used) to improve the product. This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
1.6 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Real names, email addresses, or phone numbers (unless you voluntarily contact support)
- Government-issued IDs or social security numbers
- Banking, credit card, or payment information
- Browsing history outside the app
- Precise GPS location data
- Contacts
- Photos other than those you explicitly upload for AI analysis
2. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Snap Trading AI offers the following paid features through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store:
Auto-renewing Subscriptions
- Pro Monthly: $14.99 USD per month (after a 7-day free trial for new users)
- Pro Annual: $149.00 USD per year (after a 7-day free trial for new users)
Consumable In-App Purchases (Credit Packs)
- Trial Booster: $1.99 USD — 10 additional AI chart analyses
- Booster Pack: $5.99 USD — 25 additional AI chart analyses
- Power Pack: $12.99 USD — 75 additional AI chart analyses
- Pro Pack: $29.99 USD — 200 additional AI chart analyses
Subscription Terms
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the billing period unless auto-renew is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price unless you have changed it.
- Consumable packs are non-refundable and grant immediate credits to your account upon successful purchase.
- Unused credits do not expire but are tied to the device/account used to purchase them.
3. Free Trial Eligibility
New users receive a 7-day free trial of premium features (Pro subscription). To prevent abuse of this offer:
- The free trial is offered once per device.
- If the app is uninstalled and reinstalled on the same device, the original trial period continues from its original start date — it does NOT reset to a new 7-day period.
- Users who have previously used the trial cannot obtain a second free trial on the same device, even after uninstall.
- To restore previous purchases or active subscriptions after reinstall, use the "Restore Purchases" option in the app's subscription screen.
4. How to Manage or Cancel Subscriptions
iOS Users
- Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
- Tap your name at the top of the Settings menu
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Select Snap Trading AI
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Android Users
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon (top right)
- Tap "Payments and subscriptions" → "Subscriptions"
- Select Snap Trading AI
- Tap "Cancel subscription"
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date. No refunds for partial billing periods are issued by us. For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google directly under their respective policies.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To provide AI-powered chart analysis and trading insights
- To manage your subscription, credits, and account state
- To enforce free trial eligibility and prevent abuse
- To improve and optimize our services
- To communicate important service updates
6. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We share limited data with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of providing our service:
- AI Service Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google): Chart images you upload are sent to these providers for analysis. Each provider processes data according to its own privacy policy.
- Apple Inc. and Google LLC: Subscription receipts are verified with Apple StoreKit and Google Play Billing.
- Market Data Providers (Polygon.io, Yahoo Finance, Finnhub): Stock symbols you search are sent to retrieve market data. No personal info is sent.
- MongoDB Atlas: Encrypted cloud database for storing your anonymous account state.
- Railway / Hosting Providers: Server infrastructure used to run our backend.
- Sentry: Anonymous crash and error reporting to improve app stability.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- JWT-based authentication tokens with short expiration
- Encrypted at-rest storage on MongoDB Atlas
- Server-to-server purchase receipt verification with Apple and Google
- Bcrypt password hashing for any optional credentialed accounts
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Account data is retained as long as your device-based account is active. Chart analyses are stored to provide you access to your history. You may request deletion of your data at any time via the in-app "Delete Account" option or by emailing us.
9. Children's Privacy
Our app is intended for users aged 18 and older (financial content, trading concepts). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or update of your data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a portable format)
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
